Welcome Joe Gaynor!

We are very excited to announce our Programs & Events Coordinator, Joe Gaynor! Joe will be joining the VMBA team this June 2021.  He will be leading two important aspects of our organization with support at priority in-person/virtual events and maintenance and growth of our partner-facing programs.

Joe grew up in Connecticut but visited Vermont throughout his childhood to ski, snowboard and skateboard. He received his B.S. from Champlain College in Marketing Management. Quickly Joe realized Vermont was his forever home and he has been living in Vermont for 14 years.

Joe brings over a decade of event management including working for local and global brands.  His work with Burton, Bolton and Fuse Marketing helped deepen his understanding of the complexities and joys of planning and executing events of all sizes. Joe has experience working alongside shops and resorts to build one of a kind customer experiences. These have included demos, unique product giveaways and bringing in athletes/celebrities to spark enthusiasm and engagement.  Joe enjoys tailoring the needs of a brand/non-profit with the needs of the local market and community.

Joe is passionate about action sports, bringing people together and being a steward of our local trail networks. He began mountain biking five years ago and can be spotted biking in Hinesburg Town Forest and at Chamberlain. Joe has been active in our mountain bike community by volunteering with FOTW and is excited to engage further with Chapters across the state.

Joe lives in Burlington with his wife, Julianna and their two kids. His two- year-old son, Mads, is an avid balance biker and likes to “ride bikes – go fast in the woods.” His daughter Alice just arrived on the scene but enjoys watching her brother and dad zoom around their mini backyard pump track.

Joe cannot wait to connect with the greater VMBA community. Be sure to stop by the VMBA tent and say hello! Joe can be reached at joe@vmba.org
