Volunteer with a Chapter or Community Builder

Helping a Chapter is one of the best ways to get involved! A majority of Chapters are volunteer-led and they are always looking for individuals to assist them with a wide variety of tasks. Chapters regularly have trail days throughout the year, which you can find on our Events page. Have other skills that you'd like to share? Reach out to a Chapter directly (either via email or on their website) to learn more on how you can get involved - they are always looking for volunteers with events, fundraising, or even serving on the Board.

After you've volunteered with a Chapter, learn how you can win prizes through our Reward Volunteers program below.

Reward Volunteers

Without the hard work of our volunteers, we would not have the trails we all love to ride & the communities we call home. As a way to say THANK YOU to all the volunteers that lend a hand to Chapters and their communities, we have our Reward Volunteers program. When you log your volunteer hours via the form below, every volunteer hour you log for a VMBA Chapter or Community Builder is worth one entry to win some pretty sweet prizes.

How to Participate:

Starting June 1st, we will draw one monthly winner to receive a SWEET prize box (check out below!). You must ensure your hours are logged by the month’s end, and voila! 1 volunteer hour = 1 raffle entry.

New for the 2024/2025 season:

Your volunteer hours with our Community Builders (Vermont Adaptive, Pride Ride VT, and VT Youth Cycling) bike programs can be counted towards your hours! Please make sure to select them in the drop-down.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What does a volunteer hour entail?

Great question! You can enter any volunteer activity that is connected to a VMBA Chapter or Community Builder bike programs. For example, any trail work, fundraisers, tabling, administrative tasks, Clean Up, etc. can be counted as a volunteer hour if it has to do with a VMBA Chapter or Community Builder bike programs. So…log your hours today and you could receive a sweet new prize pack from our sponsors!

How do I figure out where I can volunteer?

Chapters will post regular updates regarding their trail days and other volunteer opportunities through social media. You can also keep an eye on our Events page. Finally, reach out to your local Chapter or Community Builder directly if you are wanting to learn more about their volunteer opportunities.
