Welcome Amy Potter!

We are excited to announce that Amy Potter will join our VMBA office team as the Office Manager & Membership Coordinator! While growing up in NH, Amy had quick access to the White Mountains, where she established her love for outdoor recreation and completed all 48 4000’ peaks. After attending UVM, she started exploring Vermont’s mountains and trails, leading her to thru-hike the Long Trail. Her thru-hike further embedded the belief that nature and outdoor recreation are essential for mental and physical health, so she pursued a career as the Green Mountain Club’s Visitor Center Manager.

During her almost 7 years with the GMC, Amy enjoyed connecting people with Vermont’s trails by helping them choose trails appropriate for their experience level, allowing them to have a positive outdoor adventure. While there, she also learned a lot about non-profit organizations and how they function in the outdoor sector. She is excited to bring that knowledge to VMBA as our Office Manager & Membership Coordinator.

Outside of work, you can find Amy biking, hiking, and skiing, usually with two kids in tow, or occasionally finding the time to get out on grown-up adventures with her husband. She loves watching her 4-year-old son explore all the beginner mountain bike trails that Vermont offers.

We are excited to welcome Amy to the VMBA team – be sure to say hello when you see her on the trails!
