Featherbed Inn

Located in the Mad River Valley, The Featherbed Inn offers direct access to the Promised Land of mountain biking. The inn’s 20 acres are situated in the middle of The Mad River Riders‘ more than 50 miles of trails, with the new Featherbed Connector trail taking you directly from the inn’s grounds to the Revolution Trail on our property, including the famous Chef’s Table jump, and beyond to Evolution and Evolution 2, Cyclone, Clinic, Enchanted Forest, and more. After your ride, you can cool off in our pond, use our tool kit to tune up your ride, hose off your bike, and shift gears either to chill out or head off for more adventure in the Mad River Valley.

The Featherbed Inn is a casually luxurious 1806 farmhouse B&B, offering imaginative gourmet three-course breakfasts and optional family-style dinners, large rooms complete with European featherbeds and ensuite bathrooms, outdoor firepits perfect for hanging out with old and new friends, yoga classes out on our meadow, and friendly hosts who are happy to help you make the most of your stay in the Mad River Valley. We are committed to making the Featherbed Inn a joyful yet safe destination, by providing spaces both indoors and out that allow for social distancing and by ensuring that all of our guests comply with Vermont’s travel requirements. All our rooms and suites have sitting areas with high-speed WiFi suitable for working/studying remotely. We offer a variety of lodging options, including a one-bedroom cottage and a two-bedroom cottage, each with full kitchens and comfortable living/dining rooms. Some of our rooms have separate entrances, and we have two spacious family suites. Some of our rooms, including the cottages, are dog friendly (please check with us in advance if you want to bring your dog).

We are situated just around the bend from several wonderful restaurants and breweries (including Lawson’s Finest Liquids), next door to American Flatbread, and across the road from swimming holes in the Mad River. Staying at our inn means drifting off to sleep on a cloud of feathers, waking to creative and delicious breakfasts (and the best scones you’ve ever had), and rolling out the door and onto the best trails in the region.
