Old Center Fayston/Gumball: Advanced/Expert – Tech: 3 Flow: 4
Climb past the houses on Old Center Fayston Rd. Trailhead is on right, down an embankment into the woods. The first part can be quite wet. After the initial wider section, it narrows and climbs steeply for a short bit then mellows into a long steady ascent, adjacent to Old Center Fayston Rd. Much of the route is flowy, but there are some old-school tech features too.
Old Center Fayston Rd: Expert – Tech: 4 Flow: 2
The bottom part of the road has been upgraded significantly as a driveway and is a steep quick climb, if you are looking for a fast loop with some sweet downhill singletrack. About half-way up, the driveway turns left, while OCF Rd. continues straight. Gumball is accessible at this junction, next to OCF Rd. The Old Center Fayston/Gumball trails also cross OCF Rd higher up. The middle section of Old Center Fayston Rd is not recommended.
Rocky Road: Advanced/Expert – Tech: 4 Flow: 3
Rocky Road connects Kew-Vasseur Rd to Stagecoach Rd, helping link the Old Center Fayston network to Phen Basin. This is not a vehicle road, but is shared with horses and aptly named. This trail has some of the best views in the entire Mad River Riders network. The scenes from the fields at the top are mind-blowing on a nice day.
