All the lifts are spinning across the state from Burke to Stratton. Not only are there trails popping up at our local Chapters but DH Resorts are kicking it up a notch.
What’s happening at resorts?
- Bolton Valley is unveiling their jump trail and will be cutting the ribbon on their first green trail from top to bottom.
- Stratton just recently opened Fox Trot which is a skills park towards the bottom of the resort.
- Burke and Killington will be dusting off some old race favorites for the EWS and the Fox US Open.
- Killington has also added a container feature on the Coaster Trail.
It’s a great summer to try your first downhill experience or turn it up and send it down some more advanced terrain!
Summer events you won’t want to miss
As you may have noticed VT will be hosting some of the nation’s largest events: EWS at Burke Mountain and Fox US Open at Killington. It will be exciting to see the world’s best send it down Vermont’s finest.
There are plenty of other events that will be more casual. VMBA will be hosting the second season of VMBA Days at our downhill partner resorts. We already had our first one at Killington back in early June and there were smiling faces all around. VMBA Days are a great opportunity to check out a new resort with guided rides provided by VMBA and the host resort. Our Community Builders VT Adaptive and Pride Rides VT will be on-site to do their own rides. Then to cap off the day we will be doing a day-of raffle from our sponsors: Cabot, Darn Tough, Skirack, Untapped, the partner resort, and others. Don’t miss our next three VMBA Days at Sugarbush on 8/20, Stratton on 8/27, and Bolton Valley on 9/3.
VMBA Membership = free downhill tickets
If you want to explore one of partner resorts but can’t make it to one of our days there are many other ways to access their terrain. Each resort offers lessons, guided rides, and demo bikes. It’s easier now than ever to try out downhill since your VMBA membership includes free tickets to all our partner resorts. See you on hill!
