What’s Happening this Downhill Season?

We are excited that the 2023 downhill season kicked off Memorial Day weekend at Killington and Stratton! Our DH resort partners and VMBA have a ton in store for you all summer long. There will be something for every rider – whether you join us during a VMBA Days Series stop, a DH camp hosted by a resort, or just for some fun lift-accessed laps with friends. 

For VMBA Members, you can now access your Member Benefits and downhill coupons on the VMBA Mobile App on both Android and Apple platforms! This allows you to instantly and easily use your complimentary tickets whenever you like. The app also gives you access to the many deals we have with businesses en route to and from the mountain. Whether you’re looking for shop deals on demos or tunes, food discounts pre or post-ride, or lodging for making a weekend trip, we’ve got you covered.

What’s going on at VMBA partner resorts this season?

Killington Resort has its lifts running and is ready for you to visit! They offer one complimentary DH ticket from Sunday-Friday to VMBA Members. You won’t want to miss Killington’s marquis events, including Outerbike July 7-9th, one of the biggest demo events on the east coast with a weekend full of activities. It’s also Killington’s second year in a row to host the Fox US Open on September 21-24th, an event that attracts top-level athletes from across the globe and is brings fans and athletes together in the community. Head to southern Vermont to visit Stratton Resort, where VMBA Members receive one complimentary DH ticket any day of the week. They are open for the season and ready for you to ride! On July 3rd, you can check out The Machine Performs Pink Floyd or The Wailers on September 2.

Burke Mountain Resort opens on June 24 and will help host the Elevate Women+ weekend June 23-25th. Plus, they are located right next to Kingdom Trails, supporting a full weekend of downhill and singletrack laps. For VMBA Members, Burke offers a Buy-One-Get-One (BOGO) Downhill ticket, which can be used as a Complimentary Downhill Ticket on September 9 & 10th during the final stop of our VMBA Days series (schedule below).  

Sugarbush Resort is located in the Mad River Valley and provides VMBA Members with a complimentary downhill ticket, valid Sunday-Friday. For families, parents can utilize their downhill tickets while kiddos can attend their mountain bike adventure camps for ages 7 to 12. Plus, you can find regular music nights throughout the summer, and Sugarbush will host the Maxxis Eastern States Cup on July 22nd.

Finally, Bolton Valley Resort opened for downhill mountain biking on June 2nd! VMBA staff were there to help kick things off last weekend, helping members sign up just in time to access their complimentary lift ticket. Bolton hosts their Live Music on the Lawn all summer long, a perfect ending to a day out on the slopes.

 

Don’t miss our VMBA Day Series!

VMBA is thrilled to be partnering with Zero Gravity to bring you the 3rd season of VMBA Days!  At each resort, Zero Gravity will be hosting fun activities during the day as well as an after-party. Each stop will include group rides (don’t forget to pre-register), raffle prizes, and some fun activities! Check out the full list below. 

  1. 6/18 Killington: Free timed laps and biggest vendor village of the season. Group Ride Sign Up is encouraged!
  2. 7/15 Sugarbush: Epic ride from the top of Sugarbush down to the valley floor. Group Ride Sign Up is encouraged!
  3. 8/11 – 8/13 Stratton : Timed XC race on Friday evening, and adaptive demo day/trail ride at Stratton Town forest. Group Ride Sign Up is encouraged!
  4. 8/19 Bolton Valley: Hidden on hill chill zone (Rescue Club, Cabot, VT Smoke + Cure), slowest manual contest and live DJ. Group Ride Sign Up is encouraged!
  5. 9/9-9/10 Burke: Shuttle laps to the top of Burke, Mike’s Tiki bar after party on Saturday, laps at Moosehaven in the Kingdom Trails network. Group Ride Sign Up is encouraged!
