Welcome Kenzie Fuqua!

Three Peaks Media

We are excited to announce that Kenzie Fuqua will be joining our VMBA office team as the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator! Kenzie took over the reigns this September and will be supporting our DEI Initiatives set by our DEI Committee.

Kenzie, originally from Michigan, moved to Vermont after hiking the Appalachian Trail. She fell in love with the mountains, recreation opportunities, and most importantly, the community, and couldn’t imagine living in a more ideal place. You’ll see her on the trails near her house in Stowe with her partner and dogs.

Kenzie has worked in the recreation industry for many years with an educational background in the psychology of recreation. In addition to her day job, is a BICP level 2 mountain bike instructor, and is a board member of the Waterbury Area Trails Alliance. She spends a ton of her professional and personal time lowering barriers to entry and engagement in sport for historically excluded users including Women/Trans/Femme mountain bike instruction and trail building nights.

Kenzie is stoked to join the VMBA team in this capacity to help guide the DEI committee in their efforts to instill change when it comes to inclusivity in Vermont’s mountain biking communities.
