We want to extend a warm welcome to Jennifer Wefers, our new Membership Associate! Jennifer will be joining the VMBA team this April 2022, focusing on fulfilling the membership packets that we all love so much.
Jennifer, a native Vermonter, grew up embracing Vermont’s recreational landscape, from biking and hiking to skiing. She had the opportunity to live in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida, but eventually, the mountains and desire to raise her son near her family called her home.
Jennifer brings a wide variety of skills to the VMBA office team. She has over 15 years of marketing experience that includes content creation to multiple communication channels for a diverse audience. She’s hosted numerous tabling events, and has designed and created visual elements for events, newsletters and reports. Beyond marketing, Jennifer brings a high level of attention to detail, which she’s accomplished through working in fulfillment centers – packing and shipping orders during peak seasons.
As a former crew member of the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC) and Green Mountain Forest Service, Jennifer is passionate about outdoor recreation, our local trail networks, and giving back to the community. She has volunteered with many stop hunger programs and local sporting events over the years. Over 10-years ago, a friend introduced her to mountain biking, and after her first ride, she was ready to go again and again! As a resident of the Richmond community, you can find her on her hometown trails, along with Waterbury and Stowe.
Jennifer is excited to join VMBA and is looking forward to sending out memberships and seeing all the bands on everyone’s bikes. Jennifer stated, “it is gratifying knowing I get to play a small role in sustaining our incredible trail network.” Welcome Jennifer!
