How does this new membership program work?

VMBA and chapters are working hard to implement a new, more valuable membership platform for riders. Our new model provides exceptional value for riders, supports chapters, develops partnerships, and creates a voice for our riding community. 2014 Challenge - JUST ONE!

How many riders would you say are in Vermont? The VMBA board and a few of our partners would guess there are over 12,000 people riding at least once a week in Vermont. Next, take a moment and guess how many riders are members of chapters ? If your guess was over 1850 you would be incorrect. Membership is the fuel that builds and repairs our trails each year, produces effective advocacy, promotes sponsorship, and increases opportunities to secure partnerships and grants. VMBA Trail Grant Opportunities

Each year chapters develop amazing proposals to enhance our sweet trails. VMBA desires to support chapters in every way possible. To that end, VMBA is asking riders to consider throwing a few bucks into the trail grant fund this winter. VMBA Annual Meeting

The VMBA Board of Directors and Executive Director, Tom Stuessy summarized a productive 2013 season and outlined a number of ambitious goals for the upcoming year. New Bylaws, updated strategic plan and a slate of new BOD members are all certain to keep the association's progress moving. Highlights also included the 10-year expansion plan with Forests Parks and Recreation, a pilot project with the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife in 2014, and a quickly maturing relationship with the VT Dept. of Tourism....more

Kim Quinlan Wins $1000!

VMBA awarded a $1000 dollar gift card to Kim Quinlan for winning the Charity Miles give-a-way. Co-sponsored by Long Trail Brewery and VT Peanut Butter, the promotion encouraged riders to log miles while running the Charity Miles app on their phones to support the VT Food Bank. Every mile = .10 cents to the Food Bank. Kim received the $1000 check to Onion River Sports at the Green Mountain Showdown last weekend. Congrats Kim!...more
