Franklin Forty BFL Gravel Ride
September 30 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Franklin 40 (or 15) Gravel Franklin Forty BFL Gravel Ride
We are hosting the first ever “Franklin 40 Gravel Ride” on Saturday September 30th 8am-2pm starting from award winning Choiniere Organic Farm in Highgate which offers cross country running, skiing, and an open mountain bike skills course.
The gravel ride will bring you within a stone’s throw of the Canadian border along rolling pastoral terrain, and an active agricultural landscape . In between you will cruise along sections of the newly opened Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. Beautiful Lake Carmi is also on the route offering a quick swim if you need to cool off. Participants will receive stylish event socks, and take advantage of Nosh’s Food Truck and see farm equipment and information on display.
Two rides will be offered one 42.9 miles and a shorter ride 15miles. See the link for maps.
The Friends of Northern Lake Champlain and Franklin Co. Mountain Bike Club rely on volunteers and community support to accomplish their mission.
