Downhill Season Starts Soon

Grant Wieler

Are you excited for this upcoming downhill season? We are too! We are proud to partner with these amazing resorts and to offer our members FREE DH MTB tickets for the 2021 Summer Season. Don’t forget to renew your membership today so you are ready to go when the resorts open. So what’s happening this season? Check out more below.

Bolton Valley Resort

We are stoked to announce our newest DH Resort Partner, Bolton Valley Bike Park! Starting on July 1, 2021, their mtb lift operations will begin anew with lift service to the top of Vista Peak. The resort will open this summer on the existing trail network serving intermediate to advanced riders only. We look forward to the development of their flow, jump lines, and beginner trails with Gravity Logic in the years to come. Pedal/uphill access will begin Memorial Day weekend (all trail access will require a valid ticket or pass).

BV will be offering bike rentals, lessons, summer camps, and events this summer. You won’t want to miss the Maxxis Eastern States Cup DH and Enduro Race on August 1st!

As Bolton kicks off their DH MTB operations, VMBA Members will receive a FREE DH MTB weekday pass. Valid any weekday the park is open starting July 7 (confirm lift operating schedule the day you’d like to visit) during the 2021 Summer Season. Ticket must be loaded onto a reloadable card. If you do not already have a card, you must purchase at time of redemption for $5 each. To redeem your mtb ticket, visit the ticket window with your VMBA Member ID Card and have #78 hole-punched.

We are stoked to have Bolton Valley join our DH Resort Program and congratulations on getting the operations going!

Burke Resort

The gravity-assisted Burke Bike Park has some of the most interesting single-track trails in the Northeast where you’ll find something for everyone. This summer, they’re adding a new single-track from the CCC Road, providing different descent options from the summit into the bike park. Looking for some serious routes? Try their triple diamond FreeRide, which received a complete overhaul last Fall. Other summit routes are Rude Awakening and Upper J-Bar – use caution your first time down as these are serious (and fun) trails.

Stay within the bike park to enjoy their 13 downhill and 7 cross-country trails, ranging from expert jump lines to excavated and flow trails. Join them as they kick off their Summer 2021 season on July 2nd!

VMBA Members receive ONE FREE DH MTB Ticket. Please reserve your VMBA ticket online and you must have your coupon to pick up your day ticket.

Killington Resort

Killington Resort is ready to kick off Summer 2021 at The Beast! Their summer season launches May 29th and is jammed packed with events for all ages. Join them all summer for their KMBC Bike Bum Race Series or Divas of Dirt Group Rides. Perhaps you want to hone your skills with one of their MTB Camps for both youth and adults! Several bike shops are also in the area to help you with all of your bike needs and offer some sweet benefits to VMBA Members!

VMBA Members receive one FREE DH MTB Day Ticket Valid Sunday-Friday during the 2021 summer season. (Cannot be combined with any other special offer or discount. No resale, no cash value). Don’t forget your coupon, member ID card, and drivers license when you redeem your coupon at the ticket window! See you out there!

Stratton Resort

Stratton Mountain is excited to announce 2021 Bike Park updates, new trails, and continued stoke in southern Vermont. Entering its third season of operation, the Bike Park has been at the center of summer activity for the past two seasons of warm weather.

Sinuosity Flowing Trails plans to return to Stratton this summer to spruce up the existing trails and break ground on two new trails, a black diamond race trail and blue square trail, kicking off Phase 2 of the park build. The Phase 2 trials are expected to open in July. This variety of terrain perfectly shadows the existing trails at Stratton, as a welcoming bike park that is fun for beginners to experts, and everyone in between.

Additional riding days are also new to the Bike Park for Summer 2021. While the Bike Park always opens on Mondays of holiday weekends, new for this season are additional Friday evening hours. The Bike Park will open on Friday, May 28 from 1pm to 5pm, and then will resume Friday evening operations from July through October. For the most up-to-date operating hours and park updates, be sure to check stratton.com as these hours are subject to change. VMBA Member ticket vouchers can be brought to the ticket building in the main base area, next to the gondola, and exchanged for a lift ticket at that time, no prior purchase is required.
