INTRODUCING RANCH CAMP: BIKES, BEERS & BURRITOS
The creative minds at Mountain Bike Vermont (MTBVT) that bring you iconic events like the Green Mountain Showdown and Uberwintern are proud to announce the opening of Ranch Camp, Stowe’s newest hub for mountain bikes, gear, and culture. Ranch Camp is a full service mountain bike shop, tap room, and fast casual eatery.
Looking for top of the line mountain bikes and components? Got ‘em. How about local brews from Vermont’s finest purveyors of craft libations? You bet. And if you need a thoughtfully crafted grab-and-go meal for your ride, or a place to sit down and refuel afterwards, Ranch Camp has you covered.
Best of all, Ranch Camp is situated trailside with it’s very own public access entrance into Stowe’s Cady Hill trail network and beyond, making it the place to fuel up, gear up, meet up, and cool down.
As dedicated members of the mountain bike community, consummate culture creators, mountain bike documentarians, and passionate trails advocates, MTBVT has long been serving up facets of their new venture. Ranch Camp represents the first year-round investment in supporting the local and visiting riding community through sales, service, and a centrally located space dedicated to sharing experience and meeting friends both new and old.
“Ranch Camp is about more than just bikes and beers: it’s born from a love of community and our desire to cultivate the culture that makes mountain biking in Stowe so unique,” says MTBVT managing partner and Ranch Camp General Manager Evan Chismark. “We’re essentially building a base lodge for cyclists, an all inclusive, one-stop-shop to visit before and after your rides. This is a place where everyone can feel welcome, from seasoned veterans looking for the latest and greatest, to full families interested in trying mountain biking for the first time, or someone just looking to grab some healthy food among friends.”
A bike shop is an integral part of any cycling community, and Ranch Camp will pull out all the stops, playing host to a full service repair shop, bicycle rentals and demo fleets (including fat bikes in the winter months) and new bike sales. Ranch Camp is also aligned with some of the industry’s finest mountain bike manufacturers, including one highly acclaimed global manufacturer and two boutique brands, offering a full suite of premium bikes for all ages, skill sets and price points.
On the culinary side, the Ranch Camp’s menu consists of simple, fresh comfort food with a healthy twist; the restaurant specializes in unique burritos and other seasonal food aimed to quell the outdoor enthusiast’s appetite. The venue will be operated as a window service eatery with dining areas expanding to the outside patio overlooking Stowe’s iconic Mountain Road.
“Our menu strikes that perfect balance of uncommon flavors, convenience, and seasonality. The burrito is a perfect vehicle for a quality meal!” Says Chef Joe Rock. “People need a healthy food option that’s fast, filling, and affordable. We’re going to give them exactly that.”
Nested between the bike stands and dining room is the Ranch Camp tap room; quite possibly the perfect place to wind down after a ride, or just meet some friends after work. Cruise in by bike, pony up to the bar and choose from a selection of the finest craft beers on the planet.
