Festival Recap

Building our community at STAB…

Brought to you by Darn Tough, Ride’em Hard in Vermont!

Riders had a great time at the Vermont Mountain Bike Festival this year at Ascutney Trails. Eight different bike companies, sweet weather, awesome trails, food, music, games, vendors, and of course, Mountain Bike Olympics made for an amazing time.

Since hosting the festival last year, the Sports Trails of the Ascutney Basin (STAB) has been receiving some well deserved attention. The group has successfully managed to develop an exceptionally well built trail network for all abilities on town forest, private land, and within state park boundaries. With an eye for future growth, this community has thoughtfully embraced the advantages of visiting riders while maintaining a local vibe as strong as anywhere in Vermont. Beyond KT, where else in Vermont can you learn secrets after riding the 70+ miles of mapped trails?

It has been said that riding STAB means you’re going up hill both ways – it may actually be true. Don’t worry, all your effort is rewarded. It is strongly recommended you get at least two doses of STAB every season, one of course, being at the fest.

HUGE Thanks to our Sponsors this year! Darn Tough, VT Peanut Butter Company, Trail Hub, Hogg Hill Designs, Janice Graham CPA, Holiday Inn Club Vacations, Factotum, Smith Optics, VT 50, Paradise Sports, Blue Cross Blue Shield of VT, Windsor Medical, and Harpoon Brewery.
