Have you noticed more young riders on the trails? We have! Do you think mountain biking is a fun, healthy activity with the ability to teach positive life lessons? We do! Would you like to see more opportunities throughout the state for youth to try mountain biking for the first time, or excel to a higher level? We would!

VMBA has partnered with Vermont Youth Cycling League (VTYC) to help support their mission to offer safe and fun interscholastic and neighborhood group rides and races. VTYC educates and empowers young riders to improve their skills and health while building both a stewardship ethic for the trails and a caring community.

About VTYC:

VTYC will host a series of fun group rides at various locations in the spring to prime young mountain bikers for the season ahead. In the fall, a race series will test the skills and fitness achieved over the summer.

All events are open to middle school and high school age riders of any ability level from throughout the state.  A fun, supportive environment will be paramount with an emphasis on personal improvement through friendly competition.

How to start a team at your school or in your town:
