USED BIKES AND SEWING MACHINE COLLECTION FOR DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

Returned Peace Corps Volunteers will be collecting used bikes and sewing machines on Saturday, September 20th from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the St Michael’s College, One Winooski Park, Colchester (In front of Tarrant Center). The items will be shipped to community projects in developing countries through Pedals for Progress, a New Jersey based non-profit.

Bikes in any condition and working sewing machines are accepted. A $20 donation is requested with each item to pay for shipping.

Since 1999, Vermonters have shipped more than 5,000 bikes and 1500 sewing machines from Vermont to community projects in Eastern Europe, Central America, West Africa and Southeast Asia.
