Come Join Waterbury Area Trail Alliance Trails Director, and Lawson’s Finest Athlete, Alex Showerman for a Guided Tour of the Moretown Family Forest. This six hundred acre parcel is generously being opened up for public recreation by the Tomasso Family and will host 10 miles of Multi-Use and Mountain Bike Trails as well as a skills progression zone for everybody ranging from beginner up to pro.

This Guided Snowshoe/Nordic Ski will give participants the opportunity to see this property, its incredible views and learn more about the proposed recreation resources that the Sunshine Fund is helping to create.

Where: Meet at 420 Stevens Brook Road, Moretown

When: Noon on Sunday, January 26

What: 3 Mile Round Trip Snowshow Tour up to the 14 acre meadow. If time allows we will continue up to the gazebo with Camel’s Hump and Mount Mansfield views.

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes or Nordic Skis. We will be on an unplowed and ungroomed access road. If the conditions change, micro spikes maybe recommend instead.

Apres Plan: We will head back to the Lawson’s Finest Taproom for beverages and a map presentation of the planned trail network and recreation resources from 4:00-5:30.
