BIPOC Ride w/ Izzy

Izzy Johnson, VMBA’s DEI Coordinator, will be hosting a BIPOC mountain bike ride this coming August 18th at Saxon Hill! This no-drop, intermediate-level ride will roll out at 6pm, though we’re encouraging folks to arrive closer to 5:30 to get to know everyone a bit beforehand. Meet at the main Saxon Hill parking lot (https://www.trailforks.com/poi/6124/)This will be a space where people can have fun and celebrate one another and take up our space in the outdoor world. BIPOC folks are not adequately represented in the mountain bike & outdoor recreation world – help us say “hey we really are out here” and celebrate and encourage more diversity out on the trail! We hope to see you at Saxon!
