Since 2019, VMBA’s Naming Grants program has been a fixture of our work to support our Chapter’s incredible trail projects while also strengthening the connection between our mountain bike community and Vermont’s outdoor-minded businesses. We collaborate with participating companies to develop their grant – from goals to scope to geography – offering them and their employees a chance to help shape Vermont’s trails landscape.
This year, we are deeply grateful to the eight companies that collectively contributed over $40,000 for projects across the state, all of which are set to be implemented during the 2026 building season. Without further ado, our 2026 Naming Grants:
- The Royal Group is supporting Fellowship of the Wheel with a $15,000 award towards their Intermediate Accessible Summit Loop project.
- Concept 2 Inc is supporting the Stowe Trails Partnership with a $2,500 award towards the Rooney Farm Project.
- Long Trail Brewing is supporting both the Ascutney Trails Association and the Woodstock Area Mountain Bike Association, each receiving a $2,500 award. ATA is improving Last Mile with bi-directional work, and WAMBA will be implementing adaptive work in Aqueduct.
- VBT Vacations is supporting Brewster River Mountain Bike Club with a $2,500 award towards adaptive work in Cricket Hill.
- Velocio is supporting Waterbury Area Trails Alliance with a $5,000 award towards Disneyland upgrades in Perry Hill.
- SRAM is supporting Southern Vermont Trails Association with a $5,000 award towards an adaptive green Cross Country Loop.
- Stowe Cider is supporting Ridgeline Outdoor Collective with a $2,500 award towards an advanced black freeride trail
- Cabot Creamery is supporting Montpelier Area Mountain Bike Association with a $2,500 award towards adaptive work in North Branch.
The VMBA office is excited to have connected these MTB-minded companies with awesome projects and is super impressed with all the proposals submitted by our Chapters. The Chapters above will be sharing updates about their funded projects throughout the 2026 season, and we’ll be showcasing the amazing work at our Season S’Ender party this fall.
Our deepest thanks to The Royal group, Concept 2, Long Trail Brewing, VBT Vacations, Velocio, SRAM, Stowe Cider, and Cabot Creamery for their commitment to enhancing our trail systems and fostering a deeper connection between our community and the great outdoors.
