RAR Deep Dive Series in Advanced Bicycle Care – for WTNB
December 3 @ 6:00 pm - December 17 @ 8:00 pm
$150 – $175
The RAR Deep Dive Series is reserved for women/trans/nonbinary identities (WTNB)
This new class series offers an in depth look at the inner workings of your bicycle! We’ll skip over the basics and dive into some of the more complicated topics like how to adjust disc brakes, what’s up with bearings, and how to true a wheel. With a 3:1 student-to-instructor ratio this class is designed to empower participants by helping them understand the more intricate parts of their bicycles.
This is a three week class that meets on:
Wednesday December 3
Wednesday December 10
Wednesday December 17
All classes will be from 6-8pm in the Old Spokes Home Community Workshop at 664 Riverside Drive in Burlington. Bike stands, tools and supplies will be provided.
Session 1: Disc brakes and shifting
Session 2: Bearings (headsets, hubs, bottom brackets)
Session 3: Wheel truing and spoke replacement
For interested students for whom tuition is a barrier, scholarships are available – please email sarahcamille@oldspokeshome.com
All participants will receive a coupon for 20% off of a tool purchase at Old Spokes Home.
