Backcountry Film Festival

Join Bennington Area Trail System in celebrating the Winter Wildlands Alliance’s Backcountry Film Festival at Williams College! Get ready to get goosebumps while you “Ooh!” and “Ahh!” at the impact and importance of our winter wildlands through this collection of short films.
The event is FREE & fun for the whole family! Doors open at 6:30 PM and the screening begins at 7:00 PM. Admission is free and is first come, first served until seats are full. Please arrive early to grab a seat, and check out the information tables!
Bring cash for the raffle for chances to win passes and goodies that will help you get outside this winter. Raffle proceeds benefit the partner non-profits ! A limited amount of BCFF DVDs will be available for $6 for those who may arrive late or want to watch at home.
The Backcountry Film Festival is hosted in partnership by the Williams Outing Club (WOC) whose mission is to support outdoor activities at Williams and to make the outdoors accessible to everyone, regardless of level of experience. Partnering winter recreation stewardship non-profits include: Bennington Area Trail System, Dutch Hill Alliance of Skiers and Hikers (a chapter of the Catamount Trail Association), Green Mountain Club Bennington Section, and the Thunderbolt Ski Runners. Other local outdoor-related businesses and non-profits will be present with information as well.
Produced each year as a celebratory, backcountry community event by the Winter Wildlands Alliance, the 15th Annual Backcountry Film Festival film line-up is full of snowy, cinematic adventure sure to inspire both the local backcountry and general communities. Winter Wildlands Alliance is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving winter wildlands and a quality human-powered snow sports experience on public lands.
