Looking to get more involved? Awesome! Chapters host trail days all season long. Communities coming together to build trails is an important element of riding in Vermont. Riding a trail 100 times will never provide the same insight that can be gleaned from a few hours with a shovel in your hand. FAT BIKERS - VMBA Partners with VAST

State and Federal Partners Collaborate to Expand Fat Bike Access in Vermont Montpelier, VT March 23, 2015 The Vermont Mountain Bike Association (VMBA) recently met with the Vermont Dept. of Forests Parks and Recreation (FPR), the US Forest Service and, the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST) to address the management of fat biking throughout Vermont. As fat bikes are gaining in popularity, riders have been seeking places to enjoy the Vermont winter. 2015 Membership Materials

For those who have already renewed their memberships, thank you! If you're new the association, welcome! Membership materials have all been ordered and will be arriving soon. Upon delivery the association will be sending out a bunch of packets. The membership platform is a bit different this year. Members will received a brochure outlining all the details of the membership card. The card will include your name on the front and a grid of numbers on the back. Each square will have a number. Membership CC Fees

To get even more resources to your trails, credit card fees will no longer be covered by the Association. In 2014 VMBA committed $15,000 in chapter trail grants and chapters have delivered with amazing proposals. There is going to be some awesome work done this summer. VMBA is excited to grow the chapter trail grant this year. Small changes like the credit card fees add up quickly and make a huge difference for VMBA and chapters. New Killington Chapter Has Momentum

The new Killington Mountain Bike Club is off a strong start. Seth Webb and Amy Morrison with the Town have helped rally local riders and businesses around a new trail project in Gifford Woods State Park . Rich McCoy at Killington Resort is working closely with the new group and is excited about the possibilities of connecting all areas of town with new trails. Local rider and chapter VP Philip Black is leading the charge with the riding community serving VMBA's "go to" for chapter operations. It's time to get rid of that sixth bike and those high-end parts you've been hoarding. On May 9th WATA, VMBA and MTBVT will be hosting a bike swap geared towards the everyday rider.
