Statewide Trails Map will be available soon!

VMBA chapters and public land managers have collaborated on a statewide trails map that is due in stores very soon. The goal of the map is to celebrate the amazing work of VMBA chapters and to assist bike shops in telling the Vermont mountain bike story. The map also provides those visiting all the information they need to have a great time. Steeply discounted for members, the map will fuel another VMBA Chapter Trail Grant to help support the incredible dedication of chapters throughout the state. Canada to Mass - Wil's Ride

Wil Blanchard will be riding his bike from the Canadian border to the southern edge of Vermont starting on May 15 th . The 280+ mile journey will cross six counties and utilize six different VMBA chapters’ trail networks as he climbs over 30,000 vertical feet. His ride in not supported – he’ll be carrying all he needs on his bike. Wil is part of the Bike Packers chapter of the Vermont Mountain Bike Association. Millstone is a new Chapter!

MTA’s 2015 Season Plans Hello Friends of Millstone Trails, Millstone Trails Association is ending a fantastic winter season at the Barre Town Forest. Thanks to great work by our winter grooming team, there were trails available for skiing, fat biking, snowshoeing and walking. Even with frigid temperatures and a finicky snowmobile, volunteers were out grooming loops throughout our long winter. VMBA Awards Trail Grants

The Brewster River Mountain Bike Club and the Sports Trails of the Ascutney Basin (STAB) were both awarded a VMBA trail grant this week. The Brewster River chapter will be resurfacing a parking area that will handle up to six cars. The lot is to serve as a trailhead to the Midlands Zone. This project has been coordinated by the Brewster chapter, Vermont Land Trust and the Brewster Uplands Conservation Trust, LLC.
