Festival Schedule/About

The Vermont Mountain Bike Festival happens at your pace. No need to rush or keep up. Morning and afternoon rides of all ability levels in addition to family rides and clinics are hosted all weekend long. Want a break from riding? No problem - enjoy the 35+ vendors we'll have on site or head over to Lincoln Peak and check out the Family Adventure Zone - family registrations get 50% the Adventure Zone

QUICK FEST FACTS:

  • Over 400 riders are expected
  • For the last three years the festival was hosted by the Sports Trails of the Ascutney Basin (STAB) in Brownsville 
  • Mad River Riders builds and maintains trails on private and public land managed by FPR and the USFS
  • Over 40 vendors will be in attendance
  • Family registrations have increased by 45% over the past two years
  • Mad River Riders is one of VMBA's oldest chapters 
  • We're anticipating bike demos from seven manufacturers 
  • Past festivals have drawn riders from seven states and Canada
  • Female riders love the festival and make up 45% of registrants over the past three years running
  • You can find all you need to know about festival on the "INFO WALL" located next to registration
  • Long Trail and Citizen's Cider will be available at the lodge
  • Our long standing "Mtn. Bike Olympics" will be happening Saturday evening as usual
  • There will be plenty of raffles available 

Friday July 22nd
11:00 – 5PM Rider registration open
2:00 Rides begin (beginner, Intermediate and advanced)
3:00 Vendor booths are staffed and open
5:30 Family ride
7:00 Rides are back

Saturday July 23rd
8:00 Registration opens
8:30 Vendors are open and staffed
9:30 Ride/shuttle announcements begin
9:45 Rides/clinics begin departing
Noon Short rides return
1:00 – 1:15 Afternoon ride announcements & departures
5:00 All rides are back
5:30 Dinner and band starts
6:45 Games and mountain bike Olympics
8:00 - Hang out and enjoy

Sunday July 24th
8:30 Registration opens
8:30-10:30 Free downhill passes are available for pick up
9:30 Ride announcements begin
9:45 Rides begin departing
Noon Short rides are back
1:30 Afternoon rides depart
4PM Most rides are back
