SUMMARY:Highland AYR Academy - Northeast Kingdom/Wildflower Inn
DESCRIPTION:The Ayr Academy at Highland Mountain Bike Park has helped thousands of adult and youth riders maximize their fun and learning at our downhill bike park in New Hampshire. We are going mobile to bring this great opportunity to locations throughout the Northeast.\nOur professional instructors create an environment that promotes safety\, fun\, & learning. Group sizes are small to allow for great attention to each participant. Three-hour sessions focus on specific skills to take your riding to the next level. \n\n\n\n\nPumping\, Cornering & Drops \nWant to flow down the trail with grace and efficiency? Tired of watching your riding friends pull away from you on the descents? This is the session for you! Let us show you how to use terrain elements to gain speed and momentum. Small changes in technique and timing will produce big gains and even bigger smiles. \nAVAILABLE TIMES: \n\nSaturday 9am – 12pm\n\n\n\n\n\nIntro & Intermediate Jumping \nOur riding trails are changing\, and opportunities for airtime are now plentiful or even required. Let’s spend time debunking myths\, learning proper techniques\, and getting solid repetitions to create new and improved habits. No plastic skate ramps here: we are showing up with a progression of MTB Hopper ramps and airbags. \nAVAILABLE TIMES: \n\nSaturday 1-4pm\nSunday 9am – 12pm\nSunday 1-4pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHAT TO EXPECT\n\n\nA fun learning environment utilizing an established skills teaching curriculum.\nA professional instructor that creates a supportive environment of equity and respect.\nParticipants will feel inspired to connect with each other\, try new things\, and celebrate their successes.\nA La Carte sessions allow you to get more of what you want at a lower cost. Register for one session or as many as you wish. Get what you want in one day or spread it over two days. It’s all up to you!\nLow registrations may force a consolidation or cancellation of some sessions. Register early and tell your riding friends.\n\n\nWHAT TO BRING\n\n\nFully functioning mountain bike. Please go over your bike well in advance to resolve any issues.\nBike helmet and other riding gear\nFlat pedals are strongly encouraged. Although clipping in is great for efficiency and competition\, flat pedals create a better opportunity to learn proper technique and try new things safely.\nSnack\, drink\, sunscreen\, and bug spray.

SUMMARY:2023 Leaf Blower Fall Classic
DESCRIPTION:**PLEASE NOTE: there is no onsite event parking at Ranch Camp. All event parking is in satellite parking lots. See parking map at bottom of page. \nMTBVT\, in collaboration with Stowe Trails Partnership & Ranch Camp\, is stoked to present Vermont’s favorite autumn mountain bike tradition: the 12th annual Leaf Blower Fall Classic Mountain Bike Festival! This year’s Leaf Blower is going down on Saturday\, October 14th and will be hosted at Ranch Camp on Mountain Road in Stowe. With amazing riding for all ability levels\, awesome vendors\, homegrown food\, local libations\, and live music\, there is simply no better way to cap off the season than with this one-day community bike bash. \nAs always\, the marquee draw will be the rides\, tackling some of the northeast’s best terrain and affording some of Vermont’s most epic views—whether you’re an endurance-guru or a newbie-never-pedaled-before\, we have charted a singletrack loop for you\, that’ll pass multiple aid stations\, and maximize the fun! \nNEW FOR 2023 – Join us Friday evening at The Backyard (across the lot from Ranch Camp) for a pre-registration party! Come early\, meet and greet\, get stoked\, and avoid the morning rush. We’ll be gathering at the Backyard Friday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Join us! \n* It’s Friday the 13th but hockey masks are not required. * \nThis year\, MTBVT will be hosting a must-attend remote party station complete with food and drink\, tunes\, a photo booth\, circus animals\, free tickets to the Oprah show and a chance to win a NEW CAR!!! OMG!!!! Wheeeeew! We got a bit carried away there. OK\, only some of that is true (food\, drink\, tunes\, photo-booth) but we guarantee the amazing remote party part! \nAnd after you’ve gotten your share of single track and remote party vibes\, adjourn back to Ranch Camp HQ for a catered cookout\, a few local brews\, music\, and the requisite telling of tall tales around the campfire. Your registration fee covers the rides\, vendor garden\, snacks\, a post-ride beverage\, dinner\, a limited edition signed print\, and entry to the after party! \nRegister early because we expect the event to sell out. Plus you’ll save some bucks and we’ll sleep better knowing you’ll be attending. And you can feel better about biking all-day at the Leaf Blower because this is a Stowe Trails Partnership fundraiser with proceeds from this event going back to building and maintaining Stowe’s trails. Win win! \n \n\n\nEarly Bird pricing is open! So register early\, rest your legs\, and get ready for the best day of the year in support of our trails! \nFor updates and event info stay tuned to the MTBVT and STP Facebook and instagram propaganda machines. \nParty people\, we’ll see you on Saturday\, October 14th!
