SUMMARY:Mad River Rippers Weekly Ride
DESCRIPTION:The Mad River Rippers community ride program runs from May 23rd through August. Rides begin at 5:30\, usually at the Blueberry Lake trailhead parking lot off Plunkton Road\, and at other locations throughout the summer as well. Participation is free\, but requires one-time advanced registration here. Parents and other adults can volunteer to be a ride leader here. Rather than a weekly ride signup\, they will share a weekly schedule of volunteer-hosted fun rides – no need for Rippers to sign up individually for every ride. They have a fleet of awesome bikes to loan kids from their generous sponsor Prevelo Bikes! Visit Mad River Rider’s Website for more info.

SUMMARY:Ride to Rebuild - Major Storm Recovery Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:After an historic storm dropped 8+” of rain across VT\, affected communities are working to recover their lives and livelihoods. Vermonters have  stepped up and offered support in more ways than one to those affected. It has been uplifting to see so many people come together to help.  \nSeveral years ago\, VMBA recognized the potential for major storms to cause significant damage to the trail systems our Chapters steward\, establishing the Major Storm Recovery Fund (MSRF). Over time and in large part thanks to individual donors\, we’ve managed to set aside funds our Chapters can access to quickly bring trails back online in the wake of a catastrophic event like we just experienced. Given the widespread nature of the damage\, however\, the initial estimates conducted by impacted Chapters suggests an additional $30\,000\, at minimum\, is needed to implement necessary repairs across the State.  While we continue to support community-focused recovery from the flood\, VMBA is also seeking to raise these needed funds. \nOn August 9th\, we’re getting together with some of our favorite partners  to help us raise funds for our MSRF and have fun while doing so. VMBA\, Bolton Valley and Zero Gravity will be hosting Ride to Rebuild. Join us from 4 – 8 pm for Rocky Mountain Altitude and Instinct demos\, incredible raffle prizes\, live music\, cold beverages\, and group rides!  \nTo help us reach our goal\, Bolton Valley will be donating 50% of ticket sales and Zero Gravity will donate $1 of each Zero Gravity beverage sold that day to the MSRF.  \nMore VMBA partners from this season wanted to get involved as well and have donated some incredible prizes for our Ride to Rebuild Raffle!Look below for a selection of these awesome items – with all raffle proceeds going to the MSRF. \n  \nWe hope you’ll join on August 9th and come together to raise money for the trails! \n  \nRaffle Partners: \nKuat Rack NV Base 2.0 \, 2 bike\, black\, 2″ ($749 msrp) – Provided by Richmond Mountain Trails!! \nVelocio ($300 Gift Card) \nMola Kit! \nFive Ten (Pair of shoes of your choice) \nJulbo Eyewear (Pair of Fury mtb glasses) \nWTB – XC Tires! \nMotorex (cleaning kit and lube)Bolton Valley (Lift tickets) \nCabot Cheese ($75 Gift Pack) \nZero Gravity (Assorted Prize Pack) \nSram (assorted branded items) \nKate’s Real Food (assorted bars) \nKryptonite (Locks) \nRocky Mountain (Assorted Prize Pack) \nMORE TO COME! \n  \nBolton Valley Green Means Go Deal (Weds – Friday):  \n$25 Half Day Lift Tickets (Noon to 3:30 and 3:30 to 7:30 – lifts get earlier as sun sets earlier) \n$60 Standard Half Day Bike Rentals \n$80 Performance Half Day Bike Rentals
