The trail crew has been putting in countless hours\, but still need some help to get things across the finish line. \nOur Downhill in Vermont partner Burke Mountain Resort is asking for your help to get things finished up and ready for the best racers in the world.  On July 16th Burke mtn trail crew will be leading a volunteer day from 9am to noonish. There are different types of  work needed\, so all skill levels welcome. They will be providing lunch and refreshments during the day. SUMMARY:PeopleForBikes E-Bike Demo with FOTW
DESCRIPTION:This eMTB demo is part of the Vermont eMTB Pilot Project\, which seeks to better understand the impacts of allowing Class 1 pedal-assist eMTBs on non-motorized singletrack trail networks in Vermont. PeopleForBikes\, in partnership with the Vermont Mountain Bike Association and Fellowship of the Wheel\, the Hinesburg Town Forest Committee and the University of Vermont Center for Rural Studies\, will conduct this pilot study during the summer of 2022.\n\nThroughout July and August\, all multi-use mountain bike trails in the Hinesburg Town Forest will include access for Class 1 eMTBs. During this time\, trail intercept surveys (designed by UVM) will gather data regarding perceived impact on physical trail conditions\, diversity and inclusion implications\, and potential social impacts related to the introduction of Class 1 eMTBs on non-motorized\, multi-use trails. \n \nFellowship of the Wheel\, PeopleForBikes\, and Bosch Ebike Systems will host a demo day during the pilot project period to offer all trail users the opportunity to ride and learn about Class 1 eMTBs. All trail users are welcome to join us on July 30th for an eMTB demo and learn more about the pilot project in Vermont.
