Set in the heart of Ascutney Trails’ 35-mile network of singletrack\, with access to an additional 20 miles of trail on private property\, FLOW STATE will feature product demos\, guided rides and clinics as well as camping\, food trucks and beer\, live music and more.\n“Since we last hosted a mountain bike festival in 2018\, our trail network has undergone a major renovation to enhance flow and increase signage to improve route finding\,” says Erik Schutz\, president of Ascutney Trails. “We’re stoked to show the mountain bike community our world-class trails.”\n“Vermont mountain biking is the best in the East\, and the bike industry is taking note\,” says John Costello\, Mountain Flyer events coordinator. “Plus\, our ridership in the Northeast has exploded in recent years. DESCRIPTION:Join Slate Valley Trails (SVT) on August 14\, 2021 for the second annual Slate Valley Scramble trail run race and fundraiser! Trail runners can choose from an 8k and half-marathon\, which will be entirely on singletrack and double-track trails!\nRaces will offer runners a well-maintained\, variable terrain\, wooded course consisting of primarily single-track trail. While both courses will have some flat terrain and rolling hills\, there will be hills and a few sustained climbs. Runners will be rewarded with occasional stunning views of Vermont’s “Slate Valley”.\nThis is a cupless race! Runners are encouraged to bring a water bottle to refill at the cupless aid stations set up along the course. Join us for what is sure to be a fun day in the Vermont woods!\nTHE DETAILS\n– Half-marathon starts at 8:30 AM\n– 8 km starts at 9:30 AM\nThe event is open to runners and hikers. Both courses will close at 1PM\, allowing ample time for those with varying paces to complete either race.\nThere will be awards for the Top 3 finishers in each category for both races.\nREGISTER BY 7/24/21. DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to celebrate the end of summer and kick off the VTYC race season with a scrimmage at the Catamount Outdoor Family Center! This is an opportunity for youth riders to try racing in a fun\, supportive\, and low-stakes environment. This is also your chance to test the fitness and skills you’ve been building all summer! \nAll riders will choose a race category on the morning of the race:  \n5th & 6th grade race – race length will be approximately 3-4 miles – 1 lap \nCat C – novice riders – primarily 7th & 8th graders\, but open to high schoolers; stronger 5th & 6th graders may race up\, same race course as 5th & 6th grade\, approximately 3-4 miles – 1 lap \nCat B- intermediate riders – stronger middle school racers and less experienced high school students; approximately 6-8 miles – 2 laps \nCat A – advanced riders – more experienced high school students; approximately 9-12 miles – 3 laps \nPlease note: this race is hand-timed. SUMMARY:KMBC Bike Bum Race
DESCRIPTION:2021 is here and we will have Bike Bum sponsored by Von Trapp back for the 6th annual race series at Killington Resort. The race dates are every Wednesday starting July 7th going through to Sept 1st from 2-5pm. The race will be on the blue trail middle and lower Rabbit Hole off of the Snowshed chair lift. We will be using zone4 chip timing for the race and they will be issued at the beginning of each race and need to be returned at the finish of the race. You can sign up as an individual or up to a team of 5. \nAs much fun as it is a competition\, sign up to ride solo\, or with a team of up to five people. Racers will be placed in divisions by age class and will have one timed run each week. All races will be held on beginner/intermediate trails ensuring fun for all bikers.
