DESCRIPTION:Mountain Bike Vermont and Kingdom Trails have done it again! 2019 brought the largest Winterbike yet with over 500 people in attendance\, let’s see what 2020 brings! February 22nd\, 2020….book your calendar! \nRegistration for the event gives you access to the Kingdom Trails network and all Winterbike activities on Saturday including group rides\, fatbike demos\, lunch and beverages\, music\, fire\, games\, race spectation\, and swag! \nFRIDAY PRE-REG PARTY: KT will host a pre-registration check-in & social on Friday\, February 21st at TBD. \nDEMO FATBIKES will be available from the vendors in the Expo area for 45 minute rides throughout the day on a first come first served basis. Demo loops will be signed and be an optimal length for a perfect 45 minute “ride it like you stole it” demo experience. \nShops attending will offer Demos and/or rentals. You’ll be able to contact your favorite shop in advance of the event to procure a steed to use all day. Details and prices will vary per vendor. \nTHE REMOTE AID STATION: In keeping with tradition\, MTBVT will be hosting the aid station with the usual local delights and personalities. \nTENTATIVE SCHEDULE – as the day approaches we’ll be adding details of the event. Timing is subject to change based on the forecasted temperatures for the day. DESCRIPTION:The Richard Tom Foundation has partnered with the Catamount Outdoor Family Center (COFC) to host a day of fun on fat bikes! \nThis event will include FREE use of COFC fat bikes and trails. COFC is celebrating the purchase of the new SnowDog groomer which many of you and RTF helped to purchase for COFC. \nEarl’s Cyclery and Fitness will also provide fat bikes from their Demo fleet (currently on sale!) \nWhen: Sunday\, February 23\, 2020\, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.\nWhere: Catamount Outdoor Family Center\, 592 Governor Chittenden Road\, Williston\nWho: Any level of ability or experience. We will try to provide a ride leader for inexperienced riders and hopefully organize some groups of compatible riders who can hang together through the COFC forest paths.\nWhat: Explore COFC’s network of fat bike trails. SUMMARY:The Headlamp Hustle Snowshoe Shuffle
DESCRIPTION:Grab your snowshoes and headlamps and join CTC for this “loopy” event on a beautiful one-mile loop on the new trails built by the Caledonia Trail Collaborative on NVRH’s land. The object is to see how many laps you can complete on the CTC’s trail loops in two hours. Pre-registration is highly encouraged to help prepare for the event. Pre-registration costs $2 per participant to support event management by the Recreation Department. A suggested cash or check donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12-17 will be collected at the event. All event proceeds will be donated to the Caledonia Trail Collaborative to support trail development and maintenance. CTC will have a tent setup at the trailhead\, which is between the community garden and CALEX. Check in between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM. Participants should park in the main lot across the street from the trailhead.
