DESCRIPTION:BATS would like to invite the community to the Pump Track at the Stark Street Playground over the 4th of July holiday! Their main goal is to introduce the community to the pump track. Their secondary goals are to introduce you to Bennington Area Trail System volunteer board members and trail community\, as well as encourage you to become volunteers\, and members of BATS! Also\, come see the plans for the new Stark Street Nature Playground. \nPump Track Grill & Chill\nWednesday\, July 3rd\, 5 PM -7 PM\nBasic BBQ offerings of burgers and hot dogs\, with some sides\, and refreshments will be offered. Feel free to Bring Your Own Picnic dinner. Bring a camp chair! Some kids bikes maybe available for loan during the event. No alcohol on Town Property.\nNote: Park is under construction (nature playground) and less lawn close to the pump track right now.\nSpread the word! SUMMARY:Women's Ride at Hinesburg Town Forest
DESCRIPTION:If you ride a mountain bike and your pronouns are she/her/hers\, you are welcome to join Fellowship of the Wheel (FOTW) at Hinesburg Town Forest! These rides are “no-drop”\, meaning nobody is left behind. There are generally two to three groups at every ride… one that runs at a mellow pace on easier trails\, an intermediate group and another group that is interested in more advanced trails. \nThe goal is for everyone to have a good time and not feel pressured\, so generally\, these rides are social and not “hammerfests”. At a minimum\, all riders should be comfortable with climbing\, descending\, and turning at a mellow pace on forested single track. Meet at 6:00PM and start riding by 6:15PM. Usually\, the rides last 1.5 hours\, so bring snacks\, water\, and anything else you might need out on the trail.
