DESCRIPTION:*Update: Saturday will go as planned and Sunday trail rides have been divided into intermedate from darling hill like planned and then advancded rides leaving from East Haven Trails. * \nThe VMBA Days series is coming back for its fourth season with some new great additions. The first and largest is that Lawsons Finest Liquids is supporting the series. We’re excited to welcome back the title sponsor from our first season! \nFor DH\, we are bringing back our ‘New to DH’ and ‘New to the Resort’ group rides. These will be led by Resort & VMBA Ambassadors. At each stop we will also have a Community Builder partner that will lead their own group rides. For ths stop we will be donating a portion of the procceds to Kingdom Trails Association. Not only do you get a chance to win the rad items below\, you will be supporting two great organizations! \nAt each stop of the series\, we will also be hosting a fun activity specific to that resort\, ranging from timed races\, dual slalom\, Strava races\, and more. After everyone gets their riding in\, Lawsons will be hosting an on-site Aprest and providing a limited amount of beverages to raffle ticket purchasers. During the Apres\, we will also pull the winners of the raffle! . \nOne more awesome addition for this year: Following Saturday at the resort\, we’ve teamed up with the local trail stewardship organization to host a trail ride day on Sunday! For our first stop at Burke\, we will be riding Kingdom Trails on Sunday the 7/13/25 \,based out of the Wilderflower Inn. These will be great opportunities to ride new single track with the local riders and trail builders. \nPlease see below for a full breakdown of the activities\, timing\, prizes\, and other rad things we have in the works for each stop. Make sure to go to Bike Reg to sign up and get more details. \nLink: https://www.bikereg.com/Services/RedirectEmail.aspx?despa=https%3a%2f%2fwww.bikereg.com%2fslate-valley-epic&emid=322499&edid=38230641&secc=37908130 \nJoin Slate Valley Trails (SVT) on July 19th 2025 for our Fifth Annual Slate Valley Epic Mountain Bike Race\, sponsored by Frost Beer Works.  This race is one of SVT’s biggest event fundraisers and riders can expect some of the best singletrack riding in Vermont.  This race is approximately 40 miles with about 5\,000 feet of climbing and will surely challenge you\, but be a memorable weekend in the Vermont woods! \nNew this year we will have both individual and relay race options. Share the excitement and challenge in a team of two racers on the same course and starting waves as the individual race! \nThe event’s trailhead and expo is open to the public so come watch\, cheer\, eat\, and celebrate with SVT and the racers Saturday. After the race\, hang out and enjoy some food\, music\, refreshments\, and comradery! Primitive camping is also available at the trailhead and is free for SVT members (Join Today!) or can be purchased during registration. \n \nThe Details\n\n Racer Handbook  (2024 hand book \, 2025 will be posted soon)\nThe Saturday race starts at 7:20 AM and we expect all racers to be complete by around 4 PM.\nThere will be wave starts at 5 minute intervals\nCompetitive Awards and a Free Sponsor Raffle at 2:00 PM\nAll racers will receive a great meal after the race from The Rollin Rooster and the public can purchase food on site\nFrost Beer Works voucher included for after race celebratory brew\n The exact course will be released to participants prior to race day\nThe Epic Race will start and finish at the Slate Valley Trails’ Fairgrounds trailhead located at 131 Town Farm Rd\, Poultney\, VT.\nThis is a cupless race. Racers are encouraged to bring a water bottle to refill at the aid stations set up along the Race course. Small snacks will be available\, but racers are encouraged to bring enough calories to sustain the duration of the race.\nAll of our trails are on private land so littering and trail cutting will not be tolerated\, racers will be disqualified!!!\nChoose between racing as an individual or as part of a two-person relay team.\nRelay: the relay will follow the same rules as the standard race with the exception that teammates will check in and pass off their “baton” in front of an official at Aid Station #2. Each leg will be approximately 20mi. No parking is available at Aid #2; there will be shuttle available to & from the start/finish or can be self shuttled by bike (3 miles) on dirt/ class 4 roads. See hand book for further details.\nPrevious race route (2024 follow link below). The course for 2025 will be largely the same with 1 or 2 tweaks. Registration for the relay (40 teams) will open on March 1st as well.\n In an effort to promote diversity and inclusivity in mountain bike racing\, we will reserve 40 spots for women/non-binary participants through March 31st\, 2024.  After March 31st\, if not all 40 of the abovementioned spots are filled\, we will open them up to any registrant on the Wait List.\n\nRegistration Information\nWhen you register you understand that: The SVT Board of Directors reserves the right to cancel the event at any time\, with NO RACER REFUND\, due to any adverse events (ie. this may include\, but is not limited to extreme weather\, a community tragedy\, etc.)· \n\nSVT does not offer refunds if the Wait List is empty.  If you withdraw your registration\, and someone on the Wait List accepts your position\, you are entitled to a 50% refund\n There are no registration transfers to another racer\n A meal by Rollin’ Rooster WILL be included\nA shirt is NOT included with the registration fee this year\, but they can be purchased separately at the time of online registration\, or on the registration site up to a month before race day\nIf you register for the waitlist (if the spots are currently full) you will WILL AUTOMATICLY BE REGISTERED & CHARGED when a spot opens up.
