DESCRIPTION:Join us every Wednesday evening this winter at Catamount for Guided Fat Bike Rides!\nGrab your fat bike and headlamp and met us at the Hub (near the parking lot) at 6:00pm. Tires will hit the trails at 6:15pm! \nDon’t have a bike? Our rental Hub has you covered (bike rentals are first come first serve and a credit card is required to be held while you’re on trail)! Please arrive ~20 minutes early if renting a bike. \nRides will be approximately 1.5 hours and are beginner friendly. Want some extra instruction before the ride? Check out our lesson options! \nAn Annual or Day Membership is required to access the trails. SUMMARY:Thursday Night Headlamp Ski Tours at Horace Hill
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday nights SoVTA will host a headlamp tour of Horace Hill (weather permitting). They will be leaving from the fire pit behind OMT and returning to OMT for a few post-tour libations. This tour will be hosted by one of the SoVTA board members each week. This tour is open to people on touring skis\, splitboards and snowshoes. They may have extra snowshoes if people need them thanks to CTA. \nThese tours are open to everyone and are no drop. They ask that you can comfortably ski or ride in moderately pitched tree’d terrain. This is not a Ski or Snowboard lesson. DESCRIPTION:Each week SoVTA’s Executive Director Steve Petrik will take a group out and work on the skills new and seasoned users need to be safe and efficient in backcountry touring. This will be an informal\, low-pressure clinic with a focus on fun and enjoying the natural resource that is the Dover Town Forest. The topics will change from week to week depending on the conditions and the skill level of the group. They will try to post the skills that you will be working on the week before\, so you can plan ahead but again these clinics will be tailored to the group and the conditions the day of. These tours are open to everyone and are no drop. They ask that you can comfortably ski or ride in the moderately pitched tree’d terrain. This is not a Ski or Snowboard lesson.
