Grab your fat bike\, or one of the free demo bikes provided at the event\, and join in on the fun as we celebrate winter biking together! \nThis year’s event has a limited number of fat bike demos available and each will be available for 50 minutes per ride. Although the demos are complementary\, a credit card is required to be held on file for some bike rentals. Priority will be given to those participating in a group ride. DESCRIPTION:Join Craftsbury Outdoor Center’s trained staff and Green Mountain Adaptive Sports (GMAS)\, on Sunday\, February 11\, 2023 from 1:30-3:00pm for an afternoon of fun in the snow at the Outdoor Center. \nThis free event is targeted at Vermont youth and adults with disabilities. We’ll have their trained ski instructors on-site along with other professionals serving individuals with disabilities to provide instructions\, and support as needed. Homemade cookies and hot cocoa will be served. \nThis get together offers an opportunity to take a trip to visit the Center\, borrow some equipment to try cross-country skiing or snowshoeing\, or simply to observe other skiers zoom around the training area. \nTo sign up for the Adaptive Nordic Ski Open House\, register on their website. DESCRIPTION:Rutland Cold Rolled Fatbike Festival is back! Presented by Sram and Fiddlehead Brewing\, and hosted by Mountain Bike Vermont and Pine Hill Partnership in Rutland\, Vermont\, Cold Rolled offers a day of fatbike stoke on cold-rolled singletrack! Join us Sunday February 12th\, 2023 as fatbikers from around New England and New York gather in Rutland to lead a charge with Old Man Winter\, replete with group rides\, demos\, and hearty brews around warm fires. \nThe event will feature a vendor village\, rides for all ages and abilities\, and groomed packed powder trails for your fatbiking pleasure. Group rides will begin at 10am at the Giorgetti Athletic Complex at 2 Oak Street Extension (the Pine Hill Trailhead) where we’ll also convene for lunch at 12:00 pm. The remote aid station (aka party central) will be located at the overlook and will feature a bonfire and our favorite mid-ride refreshers. Lunch at Giorgetti will be catered by our friends at Ranch Camp (Stowe\, VT). \n“We’re beyond excited to bring the Cold Rolled back to Pine Hill – this trail network has some of the best fatbiking in the state\, and the community rallies to maintain them all winter.” says event cofounder & Killington Valley local Nate Freund of MTBVT. “We’re stoked to bring the party to Rutland and introduce riders from around the northeast to these amazing trails!” \nThe $50 ticket price ($35 for the under 21 crowd) includes group rides\, lunch (with both carnivorous and veggie options)\, and a signed original Cold Roll Rutland artist print. DESCRIPTION:Presented by Lawson’s Finest Liquids and Sram\, WinterBike is Vermont’s premier Fatbike Festival. Now in its 11th year\, the event continues to be the favorite among fatbike enthusiasts. The event is headquartered at Mike’s Tiki Bar and hosted on the Kingdom Trails network\, boasting over 31 miles of cold-rolled singletrack! \nIn keeping with tradition\, Winterbike will include the usual crowd pleasing ingredients including a ride\, remote aid station\, after party catering by Ranch Camp\, and so much more! \nOnly 250 tickets available\, and for the first time\, KT and MTBVT are offering a discount to Northeast Kingdom (NEK) residents! To qualify\, you must be a full-time resident of the NEK. NEK full-time residents will receive a $10 discount! Use discount code NEKRESIDENT at checkout. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\nAbove: 2023 (11th limited edition) event poster is available for purchase at checkout\nWe’ll be mapping and signing a loop suitable for all abilities and will be sending riders out in two waves (advanced-expert followed by beginner-intermediate) following the course. DESCRIPTION:This is the second BIPOC ski day this winter at the Center. Registration is required to participate in these free events. Choose between two sessions each day\, 10:00am and 1:00pm. Participants receive complimentary trail passes and rental equipment\, as well as lessons from BIPOC instructors. \nThe group lessons are optional if you’d prefer to spend your time skiing on your own or with friends old and new. While they encourage those that may have never tried cross country skiing before to take part\, they also welcome folks of any ability level to come. Snowshoeing will be available as well.
