Downhill Riding in Vermont

Vermont is well known for it's amazing singletrack - over 750 miles, in fact. However, Vermont also boasts some awesome downhill opportunities for riders looking to rip or families seeking new adventures. Whatever your desire - we got you covered! There are five resorts offering liftserve access to some of the most exciting gravity fed terrain in the east complete with variety, kids programs, rentals, lodging deals and off-trail activities. When your DH appetite has been satisfied there are 28 regional chapters of VMBA that host world class singletrack. The descriptions and links below will give a quick overview of our five resort partners. Please be sure to reach out to them for more information and start planning your next adventure!

BURKE BIKE PARK - BURKE, VT
Voted one of the top five best bike parks by riders throughout the Northeast, the gravity fed downhill park at Burke offers a little something for everyone. A variety of terrain can be found including three downhill trails from the summit. Lower on the mountain, riders will find fun flowing singletrack and machine excavated flow/jump trails for miles. Done downhilling? Kingdom Trails and their 100+ miles of singletrack is just 10 minutes down the road. 802.626.7300

KILLINGTON BIKE PARK - KILLINGTON, VT
With redesigned and expanded beginner and intermediate trails, rugged new England downhill and industry-leading freeride terrain designed by Gravity Logic, the Killington Bike Park is the largest downhill bike park in the east. Three high-speed lifts means more laps, more miles and more fun. New facilities available this year include pump track, skills park, kids strider park and a designated uphill bike route. For those new to the sport, Killingtin offers Downhill package including lift and trail ticket and gear rental and instruction. 800.612.MTNS

MOUNT SNOW - WEST DOVER, VT
Downhilling has been happening at Mount Snow for over 30 years - they were the first to the party. In the past few years they have progressively integrated features like berms, ladders, manmade surfaces, and dirt jumps into Mount Snow's trail system; staying ahead of what has become expected of the new age bike park. Mount Snow is home to Trail 7, which is the longest introductory downhill trail in the East. Anyone that is already comfortable on a downhill mountain bike now has the opportunity to let gravity do the work without having to be an expert. 802.245.SNOW

EVOLUTION BIKE PARK - OKEMO - LUDLOW, VT
An expansion will take place this year on the summit, which will add longer, steeper and more challenging terrain. The park still offers flow trails accessible from the South Ridge Quad A. Flowy descents run through open terrain and pockets of forest while rolling across the naturally undulating terrain. These trails can be enjoyed by a wide scope of riding skill levels and bike types. These trails are about to expand a bunch. 802.228.1600
