Bikepacking with Joe Cruz

VMBA Retailers Alliance Partner Earls Cyclery and Fitness brings you a night of bikes and adventure! We are very excited to host Bikepacking.com Editor Joe Cruz at the shop to tell us about his journeys all around the world. This is sure to be a good time whether you're an experienced bike traveler or looking to go on your first outing.

Joe Cruz took his first bikepacking trip in 1988 and since then has raced and toured the world over, with circuits in Asia, the Middle East and the length of South America. Recently he’s visited Kyrgyzstan and Cuba alongside more home-grown adventures that include co-creating The Green Mountain Gravel Growler ride in Vermont. Joe is a proud ambassador for Seven Cycles and Revelate designs. His main bikepacking wheels are a Seven Cycles Treeline SL and several Rob English bikes.

When not pedaling, Joe is a Professor of Philosophy at Williams College. He and his wife split their time between Pownal, Vermont and their beloved native New York City.

Joe serves on the editorial team at bikepacking.com, and posts his stories and photos at joecruz.wordpress.com and on Instagram @joecruzpedaling.
