Advocacy
The Vermont Mountain Bike Association maintains on-going relationships with the US Forest Service, the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, the Vermont Department of Forest, Parks and Recreation, several Vermont Municipalities and many private landowners. Through a signed, cooperative agreement with The Vermont Agency of Natural Resources Department of Forest, Parks and Recreation the Vermont Mountain Bike Association (VMBA) is the corridor manager for mountain biking on State land.
The Vermont Mountain Bike Association works to promote a positive image of mountain biking in Vermont through a variety of media sources and grassroots communication. Our organization represents all areas of the state through over 20 active chapters.
VMBA is a knowledge-base for sustainable trail building techniques and seeks to develop best practices through training of individual chapters, businesses, landowners and public organizations through events such as our annual Mountain Bike Summit.
VMBA also organizes and works with youth groups across the state to promote healthy lifestyles and responsible outdoor recreation.
